NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting ongoing ground baiting programs in Kosciuszko National Park from Monday 8 December 2025 to Monday 8 June 2026.
The program will be conducted in the northern precinct of the park, which includes the following areas:
- Goobarragandra
- Blowering Foreshores
- Big Talbingo/Buddong
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes and wild dogs. The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Please be advised that Gentle Annie Trail will be closed from Monday to Thursday between 1st December and 18th December 2025 due to essential road maintenance works.
During these closure periods, access to Flea Creek Campground and Flea Creek Picnic Area will not be available, as access via Gentle Annie and Webbs Ridge Road will also be closed for maintenance. These areas will therefore be temporarily closed.

Safety alerts: Murramarang South Coast Walk Hazard Warning
Walking tracks in Murramarang have been heavily affected by recent storm and sea conditions.
Beach access points and rock crossings have been heavily impacted and can be difficult to negotiate with some steep, slippery and unstable sections.
When accessing beaches and walking across rocky sections of the walk, please be mindful of conditions, loose rocks and dangerous crossings.

Some parts of Tantangara Reservoir will be closed intermittently due to Snowy 2.0 construction activities involving controlled blasts. Full exclusion zones will be established prior to and during blast operations. The areas affected are:

- Access to the southern end boat ramp is open, but may be subject to short-term closures.
- Current boating and camping access to Tantangara Reservoir will still be available at access points on the northern end of the reservoir, via Port Phillip and Dam trails.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 25 August 2025 to Monday 23 February 2026. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and/or foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species and will take place in:

Whilst there is continuing rainfall periodically in Bungonia National Park, the Bungonia Creek water level may at times be higher than normal.
If you're planning to undertake the Red walking track or any activities within Bungonia Gorge, please assess water levels before continuing through the Bungonia Slot Canyon. If in doubt, turn back. Do not enter flood waters. Report conditions via the park register book on-site.

Safety alerts: Areas impacted by wet weather conditions - McIntyres Trail, Lowells Flat Trail, Waterfall Trail, Dingi Dingi Ridge Trail
Trails in Brindabella National Park become wet and slippery following wet weather conditions. Traction may be difficult in some sections and some trails may become impassable. McIntyres Trail, Lowells Flat Trail and Waterfall Trail are steep 4WD only trails which can become slippery and unsafe after or during rain events. Caution is advised if you are travelling to the following areas after or during periods of wet weather:
- McIntyres campground
- Lowells Flat campground
These trails require high clearance 4WD vehicles only, with low range capability, off-road tyres and 4WD experience required. AWD and SUVs are not suitable. There is very limited to nil phone service in these areas to call for assistance.
Trail and crossing closures may be implemented at short notice with updates provided on the NPWS website. Always check weather forecasts and the NPWS website for closures and updates before heading out into remote areas and trails.

Some sections of the Wollondilly River walking track have been severely damaged by a recent severe weather event (rain).
Pedestrian access is still open; however, please take care when walking the trail as some sections of the track are severely damaged, slippery and difficult to navigate.

Cullendulla Beach is changing shape from the impacts of coastal erosion.
During high tide, walking access via the beach into Cullendulla Creek Nature Reserve from the carpark on Myamba Parade may be restricted by the ocean.
While in the reserve, visitors should continue to monitor conditions and time their walk with a lower tide.
