Closed parks: Areas closed for feral animal control - Brindabella National Park, Bimberi Nature Reserve, northern Kosciuszko National Park - 24th Feb - 7th Mar 2025
The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting aerial feral animal control operations in the Brindabella National Park, Bimberi Nature Reserve and Northern Kosciuszko National Park areas (east of Mcleods Spur) between Monday 24 February and Friday 7 March 2025. Control operations will not be undertaken on weekends.
Full Park closures for Brindabella NP and Bimberi NR. Gate closures and closure notices will be in place during operations. Do not enter the closed areas. Penalties apply for non-compliance.

Other planned events: Notification of Ongoing 1080 Baiting - Wild Dogs/Foxes
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using meat baits and canid pest ejectors containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will be ongoing from September 3rd, 2024 until March 3rd, 2025 in the following areas:
- Brindabella National Park
- Bimberi Nature Reserve
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program in the north east precinct of Kosciuszko National Park, Scabby Range and Yaouk Nature Reserves within the Adaminaby/Yaouk wild dog control area.
The program will be continuous and ongoing between 1 September 2024 and 28 February 2025, and will use meat baits and canid pest ejectors containing 1080 (sodium fluroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
