Other planned events: 1080 wild dog ground baiting program

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using fresh meat, manufactured baits and CPE’s containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs. The program will be ongoing and continuous from Tuesday 5 May 2020 to Thursday 5 November 2020. The baited parks and reserves include:

  • Morton National Park
  • Conjola National Park
  • Murramarang National Pak
  • Bimberamala National Park
  • Bees Nest Nature Reserve
  • Budawang National Park
  • Parma Creek Nature Reserve
  • Jerrawangala National Park
  • Colymea State Conservation Area

All baiting locations will be signposted.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a pest management program using ground baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will happen from Monday 27 April to Sunday 20 December 2020 in Jervis Bay National Park, Conjola National Park, Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve, Meroo National Park and Murramarang National Park

There will be signs at all baiting locations.
