NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an aerial baiting program in Bangadilly National Park (NP), Bargo State Conservation Area (SCA), Burragorang SCA, Guula Ngurra NP, Joadja Nature Reserve (NR), Nattai NP, Upper Nepean SCA and Upper Nepean SCA Stage 2 lands managed by NPWS from Monday 19th May – Sunday 1st June 2025.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will take place in
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 23rd September 2024 to Tuesday 23rd September 2025. The operation will use a Felixer containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of feral cats, and approved meat baits, meat bait products, and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPE) for the control of foxes and wild dogs.
The program will be conducted in Nattai National Park.

Safety alerts: Wingecarribee River walking trail impacted by flood damage
Some sections of the Wingecarribee River walking track have been severely damaged by recent floods.
Pedestrian access is still open, however please take care when walking these sections of the track.
