- Avoid contact - do not touch them.
- Record what you see.
- Report it using this online form or call the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888
Australia has well-established national response arrangements in place to respond to animal disease incidents, including H5 bird flu.
The NSW Government is working in collaboration with other jurisdictions and the Australian Government, with increased surveillance now underway.
The NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (NSW DPIRD), in partnership with the Australian Government, is leading the response to any detection of H5 bird flu in NSW.
It's important that we all continue to remain vigilant and report any sick or dead poultry, wild birds or wildlife.
