NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a ground baiting program from the 20th September 2023 to 20 December 2023. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes in the form of Canid Pest Ejectors (CPE's).
The program will take place in Bango Nature Reserve and Mundoonen Nature Reserve.
The program is in support of the Feral Fighters coordinated baiting program.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Visitor access may be impacted due to upcoming roadworks within Brindabella National Park taking place between August 9th and December 1st, 2023. These include:

Please be aware of truck movements on Two Sticks Road during this time. Drive safely and follow the directions of traffic controllers, roadwork signage and NPWS staff. Please check the NPWS website for relevant road closures that may be in place during this period.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a ground baiting program from 26 August 2023 to 26 February 2024. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of feral pigs.
The program will take place in Burrinjuck National Park.
The program is designed to reduce the impacts of feral pigs on threatened species (Crimson Spider Orchid) and surrounding lands.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location.
