New Country Swamp Campground in Mummel Gulf National Park is closed from Friday 1 August to 10am Monday 18 August due to widespread rain impacting the campground. Penalties apply for non-compliance.

Closed areas: Ebor Falls Closed For Tree Clearing
The Ebor Falls precinct, including lookouts, walking trails, and all amenities will be closed from 7:30am Wednesday 13th August until 7:30am Friday 15th August 2025 to allow for contractors to clear fallen trees and debris after the extreme weather last week.
Due to the closure of the access road to allow for these works to be completed, do not turn off the Waterfall Way onto Ebor Falls Road, as there is limited area to turn your vehicle around.
Alternate public toilets are located on the eastern side of Waterfall Way at Ebor Sports ground.
Please do not enter closed areas and follow all signage or directions from staff and contractors.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 11 August to Friday 7 November 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes in known Bell's Turtle nesting sites.
The program will take place in Watsons Creek National Park, Watsons Creek Nature Reserve and Watson's Creek State Conservation Area.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species such as the Bell's Turtle.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Woko National Park visitor areas and walking tracks temporarily closed due to flooding / severe weather
The following areas are closed from Tuesday 20th May 2025 until further notice due to impacts from the May flooding and severe weather event:

Many national parks and reserves in the Manning Great Lakes and surrounding areas are closed until further notice due to widespread flooding and weather impacts. Many creek crossings, roads and trails are impassable due to severe rainfall causing dangerous conditions.

Other planned events: Closure of Old Grafton Road
Clarence Valley Council are conducting extensive roadworks closing the Old Grafton Road (Old Glen Innes Road) between Newton Boyd and Buccarumbi. Access to Dalmorton campground is by the Old Grafton Road from the Glen Innes (Western) end only, or from Chaelundi Road from the south. To access Chaelundi Road you will need to either enter via Marengo Road at Hernani, or via Sheepstation Creek Road at Dundurrabin. These roads are only suitable for 4WD vehicles and off-road caravans.
Please be aware this closure may add significantly to travel time to and from the campground. At this stage works are scheduled until the end of December 2025.
