Safety alerts: Flooding of Gum Hole campground

Camp sites along the edge of the lagoon at Gum Hole campground have been flooded following recent heavy rainfall in the area. It is recommended that campers camp at Warrabah campground while the Namoi River is experiencing high flows.

Safety alerts: Hazardous stream crossings on Namoi River Road - 4WD only

Namoi River Road is currently not suitable for 2WD vehicles. Recent rainfall has increased the water level at stream crossings along the access road to Warrabah National Park. It is recommended that anyone attempting to travel to the campgrounds and picnic area on the western side of Warrabah National Park use a 4WD vehicle.

Warrabah National Park will be closed from 4pm, Sunday 9 October to 4pm, Monday 10 October 2022 for an aerial pest control operation. During this time it will not be possible to access visitor facilities in the park and it will not be possible to hike into the park to go fishing.

Penalties apply for non-compliance.
