Closed areas: Picnic area and walking track closed

The Waa Gorge picnic area and walking track of Mount Kaputar National Park are closed due to recent rainfall and road maintenance on the Allambie Rd access from Friday 26 March 2021 until further notice. 

Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS office.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 baiting

A baiting program will be undertaken from Tuesday 4 May 2021 to Wednesday 3 November 2021. The program will use meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes. All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks and Reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
