Mount Kaputar National Park is closed from 12pm Monday 16 June to 9am Monday 23 June 2025 for an aerial pest control operation.

Closed parks: Park closed for 1080 ground bait program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a 1080 ground baiting program from Sunday 1 June to Thursday 31 July 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The following Parks will be closed for the duration of the program:
- Bobbiwaa State Conservation Area
- Couradda National Park
- Killarney State Conservation Area
- Moema National Park
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species. Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting locations.
Domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
