Other incidents: Bark Hut Campground gas BBQs out of order

The Bark Hut Campground gas BBQs are currently out of order. 

 

There is no park fire ban in place for Mount Kaputar National Park, so the wood fire BBQs can be used. Please bring your own firewood and matches. Alternatively, there are gas BBQs at the Dawsons Spring Campgrounds.

Closed areas: Areas closed due to bushfire damage

Most of Mount Kaputar National Park is now open. However, the following areas are closed due to bushfire damage and will remain closed until it is safe to open them:

  • Bundabulla circuit walking track
  • Eckford lookout walk
  • Mount Kaputar Summit walk
  • West Kaputar lookout

Do not enter closed areas. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For further information call the NPWS Barwon area office on 02 6792 7300, and continue to check this website for alerts and updates on closures.
