A park fire ban is in place in this park and remains in effect unless otherwise extended or removed. During park fire ban periods, all campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamine) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted as long as:

  • They're under direct control of an adult
  • The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
  • There's an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket)

If a Total Fire Ban is in place, different rules apply. Contact the local park office before bringing a gas or electric barbecue or cooker.

Closed areas: Bundabulla Circuit partially closed due to bridge works

The Bundabulla Circuit walking track is closed from Eckford Lookout to the Lindsay Rock Tops walking track turn off, due to bride repair works. This section, including Bundabulla lookout, will remain closed until Friday 23 December 2022. This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

Closed areas: Access to Sawn Rocks is closed

Access to Sawn Rocks is closed due to flood damage along Killarney Gap Road (SR133) until further notice. Narrabri Shire Council advises Killarney Gap Road is only open to residents.

Closed areas: Bark Hut campground closed

Bark Hut campground will be closed due to redevelopment works until Sunday 1 January 2023. 

The following areas will be impacted by this closure:

  • Bark Hut camp sites, picnic areas, barbecues and amenities
  • Euglah Rock lookout and walking track

As an alternative, visitors are encouraged to camp at Dawsons Spring campground.

This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.
