Closed areas: Governor Summit walking track closed

Governor Summit Corrunbral  Borowah walking track beyond the Governor lookout is closed from Monday 19 July to Monday 26 July 2021. This is because an elevated walkway has been damaged by trees that have fallen in recent heavy snowfall.

Closed areas: Waa Gorge picnic area and walking track closed

Waa Gorge picnic area and walking track in Mount Kaputar National Park are closed from Monday 12 July until further notice. Recent wet weather has made the black soil access road impassable for vehicles.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 baiting

A baiting program will be undertaken from Tuesday 4 May 2021 to Wednesday 3 November 2021. The program will use meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes. All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks and Reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
