NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program will take place between Thursday 25 August 2022 and Friday 31 March 2023 in Towra Point Nature Reserve.
Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

Closed areas: Lake Toolooma fire trail
A large sink hole has formed on Lake Toolooma fire trail. No vehicles are permitted to drive over or past this hazard. If you are walking or cycling in the area, please go around and do not stop. For more information call 02 9542 0632.

Closed areas: Section of Pipeline fire trail closed
A large portion of Pipeline fire trail, between Girronba picnic area and the Goanna track intersection, has eroded away due to recent rainfall events. Vehicles, bushwalkers and cyclists are not permitted past these points. This section of trail is closed.

Safety alerts: Lady Carrington Drive - Landslip
Lady Carrington Drive has been impacted by the recent rain. The surface is eroded and waterlogged. Use caution on rough and slippery surfaces. A portion of the track has been impacted by a landslip, trail users should pass this section without stopping.

Closed areas: Walking tracks closed due to rain damage
The following walking tracks are closed until further notice due to damage from heavy rain that has caused dangerous conditions, including eroded creek crossings, potential rockfalls and landslips:
Mount Keira Ring track
Mount Kembla Ring track
These areas will be re-opened when safe to do so.
Remember, it’s never safe to drive, ride or walk through flood waters, so you’ll need to reschedule your visit and avoid travel through areas in this park. Closed areas: Ironbark Flat toilets closed for upgrades
The Ironbark Flat toilets, next to Royal National Park Visitor Centre, are closed for upgrade works. There are temporary toilets on the northern side of the building, and the existing accessible restroom beside the Royal National Park Visitor Centre is open.
Royal National Park is open 7am to 8.30pm but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.
Park entry fees:
$12 per vehicle per day. Seasonal ticket booths at Wattamolla and Garie Beach - cash and credit card facilities available. Please bring correct change. There are also coin and card operated pay and display machines to buy day passes or you can pay for your visit via the Park’nPay app.
Vehicles over 8 seats: $4.40 per adult, $2.20 per child (per day). Students on educational programs: $1.10 per student. Teachers/educational supervisors: free (1 adult per 10 students).
