Closed areas: Altered access to The Coast track from Wattamolla - closed trail
The access trail from the 4th carpark at Wattamolla to The Coast track is currently being upgraded. The upgrade works are happening from Tuesday 4 August to late October 2020.
Although the existing trail from the top carpark to The Coast track is closed during this period, The Coast track will remain open. Visitor access to and from Wattamolla to The Coast track will be via Providential Point. Please follow the signs advising the alternate route.
Local traffic through the top carpark will be maintained, although with a reduced width due to construction works. For further information, please call the NPWS Royal Visitor Centre on 02 9542 0648 or send an email.

Closed areas: Pool Flat picnic area - Audley
Pool Flat picnic area in the Audley precinct in Royal National Park will be closed to the public for a helicopter operation from 7am Monday 19 October to 5pm Thursday 22 October 2020. For safety reasons, public access to this area is restricted.
Drone use is not permitted any where in Royal National Park. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the Royal National Park Visitor Centre on 02 9542 0648.

Closed areas: Part of Sir Bertram Stevens Drive closed
The section of Sir Bertram Stevens Drive between Wises track and Bundeena Drive will be closed from Friday 4 September 2020. It is expected to reopen by late October 2020, weather permitting. Transport for NSW will be working to replace the bridge over Flat Rock Creek, and there will be no through access until this is complete.
Visitors can still access the Audley precinct, including the cafe, dance hall and boatshed, via Farnell Avenue.

Other planned events: 1080 pest management
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program will take place between Thursday 27 August 2020 and Wednesday 31 March 2021 in Towra Point Nature Reserve.
Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

Safety alerts: Audley precinct in wet weather
Access across the Audley Weir may be closed due to river flooding during times of wet weather. During wet weather, NPWS advise park visitors to visit Live Traffic NSW to ascertain the status of the Weir crossing before commencing their travel to the park. During times of closure, access to Bundeena, Maianbar residential areas, Royal National Park Visitor Centre, including the Audley Dance hall and cafe, is via McKell Ave Waterfall.
Royal National Park is open 7am to 8.30pm but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.
Park entry fees:
$12 per vehicle per day. Seasonal ticket booths at Wattamolla and Garie Beach - cash and credit card facilities available. Please bring correct change. There's also coin and card operated pay and display machines to buy day passes.
Vehicles over 8 seats: $4.40 per adult, $2.20 per child (per day). Students on educational programs: $1.10 per student. Teachers/educational supervisors: free (1 adult per 10 students).
