Safety alerts: Audley precinct in wet weather

Access across the Audley Weir may be closed due to river flooding during times of wet weather. During wet weather, NPWS advise park visitors to visit Live Traffic NSW to ascertain the status of the Weir crossing before commencing their travel to the park. During times of closure, access to Bundeena, Maianbar residential areas, Royal National Park Visitor Centre, including the Audley Dance hall and cafe, is via McKell Ave Waterfall.

Safety alerts: Swimming not recommended at Wattamolla

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service requires that visitors do not swim, snorkel or scuba dive at Wattamolla Beach, due to a decaying whale carcass and shark activity that is currently in the immediate area. Penalties apply.

The Bonnie Vale campground is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice. This closure is to allow for the remediation of asbestos containing material surfacing onsite.

  • Royal National Park is open 7am to 8.30pm but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

  • Park entry fees:

    $12 per vehicle per day. Seasonal ticket booths at Bonnie Vale, Wattamolla and Garie Beach are cash only, as there is no power or mobile connection. Please bring correct change.
