NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is planning to undertake important weed control at Crowdy Gap Campground on Monday 27th June 2022.
The program is designed to reduce infestations of invasive weeds species such as bitou bush, lantana and morning glory.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the spraying location. Access along the walking track to the beach may be impacted on this day.

Safety alerts: Access to Bird Tree Picnic Area - 4WD only
Access to Bird Tree Picnic Area is currently affected by a landslip on Grey Gum Ridge Road, and wet conditions due to ongoing recent rainfall. It is not suitable for 2WD access.
4WDs can access Bird Tree Picnic Area by using Haydons Road off the Pacific Highway, which then joins Stoney Creek Trail and Grey Gum Ridge Road to access the picnic area from the north. There is no access on Grey Gum Ridge Road south of Bird Tree Picnic Area (towards the towers) due to a significant land slip.

Aerial Baiting is scheduled for 06/06/2022 to 10/06/2022
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
