Barrington Trail (south) will be closed to vehicles, motorbikes and bicycles from 23 January to 24 February 2023 to allow for essential road works to be undertaken.
Little Murray and Junction Pools Campgrounds will also be closed during this period.
Bushwalkers can still access all the facilities / attractions in the area during this time, however they will need to be mindful that trucks and heavy equipment are operating on the Barrington Trail south.

Gummi Falls campground is closed from Saturday 1 October 2022 for upgrades - the length of this closure is very weather dependent.
This closure also means there is no vehicle access to Bullock Brush, Tugalow and Thunderbolts (between Barrington Tops Forest Road and Pheasants Creek Road) trails.

Update Dec 2022: NPWS is planning for works to commence on the three bridge replacements in Feb 2023, with the whole program anticipated to be completed (weather dependant) by the end of March 2023.
Tubrabucca Road is closed until further notice between Barrington trail (central) and Paddys Ridge trail due to multiple bridge failures.
An engineer has assessed the bridges and deemed them unsafe to all traffic. NPWS are working towards replacing the bridges as soon as possible.

Access to Yessabah Nature Reserve is permanently closed to unauthorised personnel. The former quarry area has limestone rock faces that are unstable and prone to rock fall. Other areas of the reserve are geologically unstable.

Access to Bird Tree Picnic Area in Middle Brother National Park is currently affected by a landslip on Grey Gum Ridge Road.
Park visitors can access Bird Tree Picnic Area by using Haydons Road off the Pacific Highway, which then joins Stoney Creek Trail and Grey Gum Ridge Road to access the picnic area from the north. There is no access to Bird Tree Picnic Area from Grey Gum Ridge Road south of Bird Tree Picnic Area (towards the towers) due to this land slip.

Access to the Banda Banda Aboretum is open however extreme caution should be exercised. The trail becomes very slippery in damp or even misty weather and there is an increased risk of fallen trees blocking the trail. There are limited places to turn around safely if the trail is blocked. Visitors are encouraged to walk in to the Arboretum rather than drive.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground and aerial baiting program from 8th October 2022 to 7th April 2023 in the following reserves:
- Barrington Tops National Park / State Conservation Area
- Berrico Nature Reserve
- Black Bulga State Conservation Area
- Camerons Gorge Nature Reserve / State Conservation Area
- Copeland Tops State Conservation Area
- Crawney Pass National Park
- Curracabundi group of reserves
- Monkerai Nature Reserve
- Towarri National Park
- The Glen Nature Reserve
- Wallabadah Nature Reserve
- Woolooma National Park
Aerial baiting is scheduled for Saturday 8th October to Friday 14th October 2022.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
