Closed areas: Terania Creek picnic area maintenance

Terania Creek picnic area will be closed for maintenance from 7th May until 3rd June 2024. Protesters Falls walking track and boardwalk, as well as the carpark and toilets will remain open for the duration of works.

Ironpot Creek campground will be closed for maintenenace activities from Monday 20 to Friday 24 May 2024, re-opening Saturday 25 May.

Ironpot Creek loop walk will also be closed for the duration of the works.

Closed areas: Toonumbar Forest Drive and Cox's Road closed

From 1 January 2024, Toonumbar Forest Drive and Cox's Road are closed until winter 2024. Estimated re-opening date is early June due to ongoing wet weather.

Sherwood lookout and Murray Scrub lookout remain closed until the roads are re-opened. Iron Pot Creek campground and Murray Scrub walking track are only accessible via Murray Scrub Road from Afterlee.

Both roads are not safely trafficable in wet conditions and are therefore seasonally closed from late spring until late autumn dependant on rainfall during the wet season. There may also be additional closures during forecast weather events and damage during the winter period.

Closed areas: Nightcap Range Road closed in both directions due to major landslip repairs

Nightcap Range Road will be closed for major landslip repairs from 6th May 2024 until 13th July 2024. During this time, the road will be closed in both directions between Rummery Road and Nightcap Ridge.

 

Access to Rummery Park Campground and Minyon Falls will be via Minyon Falls Road only.

Closed areas: Byrrill Creek walking track closed

Byrrill Creek walking track is closed due to landslips and erosion following severe rainfall. 

An alternative walking track is now available. Visitors can access this 3km return track from behind the camp kitchen in Cutters Camp campground.

Closed areas: Wollumbin (Mount Warning) Summit track and Aboriginal Place closed

Parts of Wollumbin National Park, including the Korrumbyn Creek picnic area, Lyrebird walking track, and visitor facilities at Breakfast Creek, are open.

Please note Mount Warning Road is flood damaged and has traffic control in place. Parking at Korrumbyn Creek and Breakfast Creek is limited.

Wollumbin (Mount Warning) summit track and the Aboriginal Place remains closed. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
