Changed traffic conditions and potential smoke in the area may occur as a result of the Minyon Hazard Reduction Burn which is occurring on Wednesday 24th and Monday 29th September 2025.
Traffic control will be in place along Minyon Drive which may result in slight delays.

Some parts of Nightcap National Park are closed for hazard reduction burning from 7am Wednesday 24 September to 11am Monday 29 September 2025.
The closed areas are:
- Minyon Grass picnic area
- Minyon Falls walking track (Minyon Loop)
Minyon Falls and all other walk tracks in the precinct will remain open.

Other planned events: Brummies Road, Condowie Road and North Wollumbin Road - essential road maintenance
Essential road maintenance is currently being undertaken to Brummies Road, Condowie Road and North Wollumbin Road. Works will be undertaken between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. The works are expected to be completed by 31 October 2025. Heavy plant and machinery will be operating in the area. During these works access maybe temporarily restricted. Bushwalkers and cyclists are advised to follow the directions of roadwork signs and contractor staff.
These roads were badly damaged during the Flood 2022 event. Works being undertaken include the re-surfacing of trails, re-instatement of drainage, and the replacement of damaged bridges.

Please travel via Uki using Rowlands Creek and Manns Roads to access the following locations:

- Unicorn Falls walking track
- Whiskey Creek walk
- Gidjuum Gulganyi walk
Byron Shire Council is currently undertaking flood restoration works within the Main Arm valley, expected to be completed by early 2026.
These works include the restoration and repair of culverts and causeways along Main Arm Road, which is the main vehicle access to Mount Jerusalem National Park when approaching from Mullumbimby. Byron Shire Council have advised that Main Arm Road should only be used by local traffic.

The Tweed Range Scenic Drive and the Brindle Creek Loop road are currently open and suitable for 2WD vehicles. Nightcap Range Road is closed to traffic in both directions due to a major landslip associated with the 2022 flood event. The closure affects the section of Nightcap Range Road between Rummery Road intersection and Telephone Road trailer parking area.
