NPWS is currently undertaking walking track revaluations in this area. Staff may be at this location walking and filming this track to evaluate its condition. Video footage may also be used online to improve accessibility.
Community members will not be identifiable in the video footage at any time. If you encounter staff filming, please safely move to one side of the track and make room for staff to walk past.

Closed areas: Byrrill Creek walking track closed

Byrrill Creek walking track is closed due to landslips and erosion following severe rainfall. 

An alternative walking track is now available. Visitors can access this 3km return track from behind the camp kitchen in Cutters Camp campground.

Closed areas: Minyon Falls walking track closed for maintenance 26-28 February 2024

Minyon Falls walking track will be closed for maintenance between Minyon Grass picnic area and the base of Minyon Falls from Monday 26 February to Wednesday 28 February 2024.

The base of Minyon Falls will remain accessible from Minyon Falls lookout via the western section of Minyon Falls walking track.

Closed areas: Tweed Range Scenic Drive Closed - Border Ranges NP partially closed

Border Ranges National Park is partially closed due to the damage sustained to Tweed Range Scenic Drive & Brindle Creek Loop in recent weather events.  Estimate opening date is 31st March 2024. 

Sheepstation Creek campground remains open and access is from Wiangaree via Lynches Creek road and Forest road only.

This closure includes Tweed Range Scenic Drive, Forest Tops campground and all day use areas accessed via Tweed Range Scenic Drive.

Parts of Wollumbin National Park, including the Korrumbyn Creek picnic area, Lyrebird walking track, and visitor facilities at Breakfast Creek, are open.

Please note Mount Warning Road is flood damaged and has traffic control in place. Parking at Korrumbyn Creek and Breakfast Creek is limited.

Wollumbin (Mount Warning) summit track and the Aboriginal Place remains closed. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
