Whiskey Creek Trail in Mt Jerusalem National Park will be closed for track upgrades as part of the Gidjuum Gulganyi walk. The closure will be effective from Thursday 27 July to Friday 27 October.

Parts of Wollumbin National Park, including the Korrumbyn Creek picnic area, Lyrebird walking track, and visitor facilities at Breakfast Creek, are open.
Please note Mount Warning Road is still flood damaged and has traffic control in place, please drive to conditions. Parking at Korrumbyn Creek and Breakfast Creek is limited.
Wollumbin (Mount Warning) Summit track and the Aboriginal Place will remain closed.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) in partnership with Tweed Shire Council is conducting a ground baiting program from Wednesday 23 August 2023 to Wednesday 14 November 2023. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program will take place in Mt Nullum Nature Reserve
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Permanent Closure: Walk on Water walking track boardwalk
To ensure public safety, the 350 metre elevated boardwalk located at the Tweed Heads Historic Site, Ukerebagh Nature Reserve and adjoining Crown land and waterway has been demolished by NPWS and Crown Lands. The boardwalk had become structurally unsound and was subject to further damage during the Flood22 events. Other planned events: Notice of 1080 ground baiting program
The NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service will be laying 1080 ground baits in Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve (north of the river) between the 25 July 2023 and 22 December 2023 to control the introduced European red fox.
The fox control program is part of the NSW Saving our Species Program for the conservation of priority threatened species such as beach stone curlew and pied oystercatcher.
1080 warning signs will be placed at all authorised access points to the baiting location.
WARNING: 1080 is lethal to domestic dogs and cats. Domestic dogs are prohibited in all NSW National Parks, penalties apply for non-compliance.
Please restrain pets and working dogs and ensure they do not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning please seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Mebbin National Park and Cutters Camp Campground - OPEN
Some of the walking tracks and trails remain closed and undergoing roadworks due to landslips and erosion caused by the severe rainfall causing dangerous conditions during February/March 2022.
Areas that remain CLOSED until they are made safe:
- Original section of Byrrill Creek Walking Track (closed due to severe landslip) an alternative walking track is now available, access to the 3km return walking track is from behind the camp kitchen in Cutters Camp Campground.
- North Boundary Road Fire Trail (Closed due to severe erosion)

- Big Scrub loop and Rocky Creek Dam walk, accessible from Rocky Creek Dam picnic area
- Mount Matheson loop accessible from Newton Drive.
Please drive with care as local roads leading to the park still have considerable flood damage. There are large pot holes, wash out and some narrow, single lane sections.
