Lyrebird Link track closed. Temporary access to walks via a steep detour.
The Lyrebird Link ramp to the walking tracks from the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre has been closed to address safety risks. Temporary access to the walks via a short steep detour (18 degrees or 1 in 3) is unsuitable for mobility impaired visitors and prams. This will be the only available walk access until the Glade reopens. Please ask at the information counter for advice and directions.

Lyrebird Lane and the Glade carpark are closed to vehicles and pedestrians until 5pm Friday 19th June 2026 for civil works.
The Glade carpark is being redeveloped and the temporary visitors centre is under construction in the Glade. Lyrebird Lane and the Glade carpark will be closed to visitors until the works are completed. The Glade picnic area will still be open to pedestrians via the Wonga Walk, with all parking at the Rainforest Centre precinct.

The Dangars Gorge precinct in Oxley Wild Rivers NP is strictly closed from Monday 27 October 2025 to Friday 3 July 2026 while visitor facilities are being upgraded. The areas that will be closed include:
- Dangars Gorge Campground
- Dangars Falls Picnic Area
- Dangars Falls lookouts
- McDirtys walking track
- Sailsbury Waters walking track

NPWS will be making improvements to the campground, walking tracks and signage upgrades as well as installing a new pedestrian bridge.
During this time, visitors to Oxley Wild Rivers NP can still access other visitor precincts, such as Long Point, Gara Gorge, Wollomombi Falls, and for the more adventurous, Riverside or Halls Peak. The operations will use meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. Signs will be placed at the entry to all the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NPWS managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program in Susan Island Nature Reserve Area from 1 January to 31 July 2026.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
