Clarence Valley Council are conducting extensive roadworks closing the Old Grafton (Old Glen Innes) Road between Newton Boyd and Buccarumbi, and as such access to Dalmorton campground is by Chaelundi Road from the south only. Please be aware this may add significantly to travel time to and from the campground. At this stage works are scheduled until the end of June 2025.

Slingsbys trail is closed until further notice due to severe flooding causing damage to infrastructure (bridge).
The western part of Syndicate walking track is closed from Tuesday 16 January 2024 until further notice. NPWS staff are working to assess the damage and repair options. The area will reopen when safe.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program in Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) National Park, Moonee Beach Nature Reserve and Bongil Bongil National Park, from 10 August 2024 to 28 February 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes. The program is designed to minimise fox impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species. Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting area. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW NPWS-managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs) and should be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and also must not enter the baiting location. Safety alerts: Bangalore Falls waterfall lookout in Bindarri NP closed due to tree risk
Bangalore Falls waterfall Lookout is closed from Saturday 13th April 2024 due to recent weather event causing damage to the lookout and ongoing tree risk to visitors.
The Bangalore Falls walking track loop remains open and safe for visitors who will continue to have views of the waterfall from the walking track (it is situated several metres back from the closed off lookout).
NPWS has placed a temporary barrier to close the lookout and will assess the lookout as a priority and reopen once it can be made safe for visitors.

Other incidents: Toilets closed in freezing temperatures
Due to ongoing freezing temperatures at Ebor Falls the toilets at the Upper Falls may be temporarily closed overnight and for part of the mornings. Alternate toilets are available to use at the Lower Falls picnic area, a short drive from the Upper Falls.

Closed areas: Landslip on Hanging Rock Road in State forest
Access to Kosekai Lookout is currently NOT possible via Hanging Rock Road due to a section of Hanging Rock Road being damaged during March 2021 flooding event. The damaged section of road is managed by Forestry Corporation. Access to the lookout is now only possible in 4WD vehicles from the south via Boat Harbour Road and then turning onto Kosekai Road

Suttons road is closed to vehicle traffic following the second major pavement collapse in an area of highly dispersible soils. Alternate access is via Granite Pit or McMullens roads.
