Other planned events: Fox control operations - Dobroyd Head
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is doing 1080 ground baiting of foxes in Sydney Harbour National Park at Dobroyd Head.
This baiting program will run from Thursday 18 July 2019 until further notice. It will reduce the impacts of foxes on wildlife and threatened species in the park.
There will be 1080 baiting signs at the entrance to baiting areas. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. Some baits may be buried. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
Domestic pets, including dogs, are not permitted in national parks or reserves. 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) baits are lethal to domestic dogs and cats. In the event of accidental poisoning, seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Please restrain assistance dogs to ensure they don’t enter the baiting areas. If assistance dogs are required in the baiting area, we suggest muzzling them.
For more information, contact the local park office on 02 9451 3479 or 1300 072 757 after hours.
