NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting ground baiting programs in Tomago Wetlands and Hexham Swamp in Hunter Wetlands National Park from Wednesday 16 November to Wednesday 11 January 2023.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.

Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets including dogs, are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) baits are lethal to domestic dogs and cats. In the event of accidental poisoning, seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Do not remove or tamper with signs or baits or ejector devices if located, some baits may be buried. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
