Closed areas: Yacaaba Headland walking track partial closure
Yacaaba Headland walking track, in southern Myall Lakes National Park at Hawks Nest, is open to a viewing point. Beyond this point the track is closed for visitor safety.
Yacaaba Spit track remains open and people can continue to walk along the beach.

Closed areas: Tomaree Coastal Walk - Big Rocky to Boulder Bay (Fingal)
The Big Rocky to Boulder Bay section of Tomaree Coastal Walk of Tomaree NP is closed for walking trac k maintenance from Monday 3 November to Friday 14 November. The track will be open on Saturday / Sunday.

Safety alerts: Samurai Beach Open - Avoid Beach Driving 1 hour each side of High Tide
Visitors are advised that the Samurai Beach Access and beach front driving have reopened.
Take CAUTION 1 hour either side of High tide when traversing the beachfront.
Please remember to:
- Check the local tide information guide before accessing the beach https://www.tideschart.com/Australia/New-South-Wales/Port-Stephens-Shire/Nelson-Bay/
- Check conditions before arriving, and if in doubt, save your trip for another day.
- Avoid driving through seawater, foam, or large pools of water. Driving conditions can change rapidly.
Please follow the directions of National Parks and Wildlife Service personnel and/or signage. Do not drive over or behind the frontal dune or on any vegetation.

Safety alerts: Worimi Conservation Lands Op en - Take Care when traversing the beachfront
Visitors are advised that beach front driving has reopened in the Worimi Conservation Lands.
Take caution at a pinch point 14km to 16km south of the Gan Gan entry, and do not attempt to drive this section if less than 2 hours before or after high tide.
Please remember to:
- Look out for storm debris, soft sand, erosion, washouts and drop-offs,
- Avoid driving through seawater, foam or large pools of water. Driving conditions can change rapidly.
- Check conditions before arriving, and if in doubt save your trip for another day.

Closed parks: Corrie Island Nature Reserve closed for shorebird nesting season
Corrie Island Nature Reserve is closed from Friday 1 August 2023 to Sunday 31 March 2026 for the protection of beach-nesting shorebirds.
Corrie Island is an important breeding site for endangered little terns and pied oystercatchers. The island is closed to visitors for the duration of the nesting season to reduce disturbance that can cause egg or chick deaths.
During the closure period visitors may not land anywhere on Corrie Island, and only NPWS staff and authorised volunteers are allowed on the island. Pest control activities may be undertaken on the island during this time.
