Closed areas: Flood affected areas within Myall Lakes National Park

The following areas in Myall Lakes National Park are temporarily closed due to flood impacts:

  • Dees Corner campground
  • White Tree Bay campground and picnic area

NPWS is working to reopen these areas as soon as possible.

Safety alerts: Scenic Drive - Booti Booti National Park - Planned Road Maintenance

Planned road maintenance is scheduled for Scenic Drive from Tuesday 21st May 2026 until Thursday 23rd 2026.


Heavy plant and machinery will be operating from the intersection of Lakes Way along Scenic Drive.


Pedestrians and vehicles should take caution when accessing this area.

Cabbage Tree Road in Myall Lakes National Park and Ghin-Doo-Ee National Park will be closed to the public for road upgrade work from Monday 18 May to Friday 7th August (excluding weekends)

Closed areas: Yacaaba Headland walking track partial closure

Yacaaba Headland walking track, in southern Myall Lakes National Park at Hawks Nest, is open to a viewing point. Beyond this point the track is closed for visitor safety.

Yacaaba Spit track remains open and people can continue to walk along the beach.

  • in Myall Lakes National Park in the North Coast region
  • Myall Lakes National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

  • Park entry fees:

    $8 per vehicle per day.

    Day passes are available from a card operated pay machine at Mungo Brush campground or from the Manning Great Lakes Area Office. You can also pay for your visit via the Park’nPay app. You’ll need a Day Pass or Annual Pass when visiting the park.

    Bombah Point ferry fees may also apply (cash payment only).
