The program will involve the use of 1080 poison baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison (including meat baits and meat bait products) for the control of wild dogs and foxes. This program is designed to minimise the impacts of wild dogs and foxes on livestock and native wildlife, especially threatened species.
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
Please be reminded that domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS Estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Temporary track closures due to Tomaree Coastal Walk upgrades
NPWS will be temporarily closing several sections of existing walking tracks in Tomaree National Park due to the Tomaree Coastal Walk project.
NPWS is currently working on the track sections between Fingal Bay and Boat Harbour including:
- building a new coastal track section to link Boat Harbour and One Mile Track.
- upgrades and maintenance along Fingal Ridge Trail, Ocean Track and One Mile Track.
These tracks are closed and will remain closed until mid-July 2022 when works are finished, weather and site conditions permitting.
During the construction period for this section of track NPWS will conduct occasional helicopter lift operations transporting track building materials.

Samurai Beach is open for day use visitors only. Beach camping is not permitted.
Please be aware that the beach may not be passable at high tide.
Erosion caused by high tides and large swells has created sand scarps or cliffs on the beach front. These sand scarps are unstable and unpredictable, and we advise visitors to avoid these areas because they may collapse.
