Closed areas: Bombah Point vehicle ferry closed for maintenance

The Bombah Point vehicle ferry within Myall Lakes National Park will be closed for a routine service between 8.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesday 15 October 2019.

Safety alerts: Roadworks on Mungo Brush Road

There will be roadworks along Mungo Brush Road between April and December 2019. Expect changed traffic conditions and possible short delays between Dark Point carpark and Stewart and Lloyds campground. Drive to traffic conditions and follow safety signs.

Closed areas: Sandy Point 4WD carpark closed

Sandy Point 4WD carpark and track are closed for construction works associated with the Mungo Brush Road upgrade. This closure will last until around Friday 11 October 2019 when it will be reviewed.

The section of Mungo walking track between Robinsons Crossing and the start of Brambles Green trail is closed until December 2019. This is for public safety during the road construction works on Mungo Brush Road.

Duck Hole fire trail in Myall Lakes National Park will be closed for public safety between April and December 2019 due to roadworks. A section of Mungo Brush Road is being relocated.

Crawford River Road in Myall Lakes National Park is closed to vehicles until further notice due to a collapsed timber bridge. NPWS apologises for any inconvenience caused to visitors. Penalties apply for non-compliance. Park info

  • in Myall Lakes National Park in the North Coast region
  • Myall Lakes National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

  • Park entry fees:

    $8 per vehicle per day.

    The park has coin/card operated pay and display machines at Mungo Brush campground. NPWS visitor service officers regularly visit camping areas to collect fees from campers and sell annual passes. Day passes and annual passes also available from the Great Lakes Area Office, Bulahdelah and Tea Gardens Visitor Information Centres, and other local outlets.

    Bombah Point ferry fees may also apply (cash payment only).
