The following areas at Tia Falls are closed from Monday 19 August to Monday 16 September 2024 at midnight due to walking track maintenance work:

Closed areas: Smoke may be visible from some parts of the Park due to Hazard Reduction Burning
Smoke may be visible form some parts of the park in particular the below area:
- Riverside Campground and Picnic Area
- Budds Mare to Riverside walking Track
- Including some parts of the Apsley River

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will commence a 1080 ground and aerial baiting program on the 19 August to 20 October 2024 on the following reserves:
- Bald Rock National Park
- Barool National Park
- Basket Swamp National Park
- Bluff River Nature Reserve
- Boonoo Boonoo National Park
- Butterleaf National Park
- Capoompeta National Park
- Cathedral Rock National Park
- Guy Fawkes River National Park
- Kings Plains National Park
- Kwiambal CCAZ1 (Arthurs Seat)
- Kwiambal National Park
- Maryland National Park
- Nullamanna National Park
- Nymboida National Park
- Severn River Nature Reserve
- Torrington State Conservation Area
- Warra National Park
- Washpool National Park
- Washpool State Conservation Area
The operations will use meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. Signs will be placed at the entry to all the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NPWS managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Coachwood Road between Kookaburra and Racecourse Trail is closed until further notice for remediation works following damage from recent weather events.
Please consider alternative roads, such as Hastings Forest Way and Kangaroo Flat Road during this time. Access to Carrai and Werrikimbe national parks remain open from Carrai Road and Racecourse Trail.
