Closed areas: Beach driving closed – Worimi Conservation Lands

The stormy weather combined with current high tides has made the beach impassable to all vehicles.

Visitors can still access the 350 hectare recreational vehicle area at the southern end of the park via the Lavis Lane 4WD entry.

For your safety, please don't attempt to traverse the beach between Lavis Lane and Anna Bay as there is a real risk of vehicles becoming swamped by the sea. Driving behind the frontal dunes is also dangerous and illegal.

NPWS will continue to monitor the beach and will reopen it to four-wheel driving when conditions improve.

For further information contact the NPWS Hunter Coast area office on (02) 4984 8200 or visit the Worimi Conservation Lands website.
