Cadell Road within Mebbin National Park will be closed to traffic between 22 June – 29 July 2026.
Due to essential bridge replacement works within the Park to improve emergency service access.
Access to Cutters Camp and Mebbin National Park will be via Mebbin Forest Road off Byrrill Creek Road only.
Please also note that Byrrill Creek Road from Tyalgum is open all hours however Byrrill Creek Road via Kyogle Road is also closed for major Council flood restoration works between 9am and 3pm on weekdays.

Closed areas: Nightcap Range Road closed in both directions due to major landslip repairs
Nightcap Range Road is closed to traffic in both directions due to a major landslip associated with the 2022 flood event. The closure affects the section of Nightcap Range Road between Rummery Road intersection and Telephone Road trailer parking area.
Access to Minyon Falls and Rummery Park is via Minyon Falls Road only.

Byron Shire Council is currently undertaking flood restoration works within the Main Arm valley, expected to be completed by mid 2026.
These works include the restoration and repair of culverts and causeways along Main Arm Road, which is the main vehicle access to Mount Jerusalem National Park when approaching from Mullumbimby. Byron Shire Council have advised that Main Arm Road should only be used by local traffic.
