NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a ground baiting program in Bundjalung National Park and Richmond River Nature Reserve from Monday 8 August 2022 to Friday 23 December 2022.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened shorebird species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Safety alerts: Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campground access
Access to Station Creek and Pebbly Beach campgrounds is currently via Bacoongerie Road and McPhillips Road.
Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campgrounds are only accessible by high clearance 4WD vehicles. This includes water crossings which can change quickly depending on local rainfall and tidal conditions.
Access to Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campgrounds is dependent on Clarence Valley Council (CVC) and Forestry Corporation road infrastructure.

If you plan to visit Bundjalung National Park, you may experience loud aircraft noise due to RAAF training operations from the nearby Evans Head air weapons range in the park.
Aircraft activities may be heard and seen over Black Rocks campground and from Jerusalem Creek paddle route and walking track.
Please note:
- The RAAF schedule of planned air operations is available on the Defence Aircraft Noise webpage.
- RAAF schedules for the Air Weapons Range in Bundjalung National Park can change at short notice due to weather or other operational considerations.
- Aircraft may not utilise the range every day of scheduled operations.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using meat and manufactured bait products containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes and wild dogs. The program will be conducted from Friday 1 July until Thursday 30 June 2023.
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks. Pets and working dogs may be affected, and 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. Pets and working dogs in the vicinity must be restrained or muzzled and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Safety alerts: Changed conditions in areas around Black Rocks campground
The following visitor facilities around Black Rocks campground are closed due to recent flooding and storm damage:
- Emu walking track at Jerusalem Creek
- Jerusalem Creek Pontoon
Due to changed beach conditions, access is limited to the path opposite campsites 21 and 23. All other beach accesses are strictly closed. Visitors should take care in beach and creek areas, as flood debris continues to wash up on northern NSW beaches.
Please be aware that there may be water covering sections of the Jerusalem Creek walk to remote campsites. All campsites are open and accessible to the public.
