Visitors who have booked sites at Sandon River campground can move their booking to future available dates or receive a full refund. To do this, please call 13000 PARKS (72757) or email parks.info@environment.nsw.gov.au. The 13000 Parks line is available 7 days a week.

Access to Black Rocks campground from the Pacific Highway via The Gap Road has changed.
The turnoff to The Gap Road has permanently closed as part of the Pacific Highway upgrade. Access to The Gap Road is now via Tuckombil Road, which runs parallel to the highway.
The turnoff to Tuckombil Road is 2km south of the southern end of the town of Woodburn. Follow Tuckombil Road south for 1.8km, then turn left onto The Gap Road. Black Rocks campground is 20km south along The Gap Road.
Please drive slowly along The Gap Road because it is unsealed.

Safety alerts: Limited access to Peacock Creek campground
The access roads through Richmond Range State Forest to Richmond Range National Park are currently in very poor condition because of overgrowth and roadway erosion. Therefore, access to Peacock Creek campground from Sextonville Road, Iron Pot Creek Road and Peacock Creek Road is unsuitable for 2WD and 4WD vehicles. Visitors can access Peacock Creek campground from Bruxner Highway along Richmond Range Road and Cambridge Plateau Forest Drive.

Safety alerts: Ilmenite stockpile removal and site rehabilitation
Visitors to Black Rocks campground should expect to encounter large trucks on The Gap Road. This is part of a major project to remove a sand mining tailings stockpile from the park and restore the area to a natural ecosystem. Park visitors are asked to slow down and exercise caution while driving along The Gap Road. No works associated with this project will be undertaken on weekends, public holidays or NSW school holidays. The truck movements are expected to continue until June 2020. Partial closure. No 4WD beach access from Black Rocks campground. Due to significant storm damage, the 4WD beach access at Black Rocks campground is closed. Vehicles may still drive along Ten Mile Beach north from the Shark Bay 4WD beach access, but cannot exit at Black Rocks.There are no other beach access points on Ten Mile Beach other than Shark Bay 4WD beach access. No 4WD access north of Black Rocks campground.
