Closed areas: Angourie Bay picnic area - planned closure of beach access ramp

The beach access ramp at Angourie Bay picnic area in Yuraygir National Park is closed for maintenance from Tuesday 2 November to Friday 5 November 2021.

Angourie Bay picnic area will remain open during this time. Alternate beach access is via Angourie Bay. For more information, contact the local NPWS office.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using meat and manufactured bait products containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes. The program will be conducted between Tuesday 10 August 2021 and Monday 28 February 2022 in this reserve.

The baiting area will be identifiable by signs.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Wilsons Headland picnic area will be closed intermittently from 20 September for works on Wilsons Headland staircase and Wilsons Headland walking track.

Some machinery will be in use during these times. Please follow safety signage and instructions from staff when visiting this area.

Safety alerts: 4WD required for Station Creek and Pebbly Beach campgrounds

High clearance 4WD capable vehicles are required to access Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campgrounds. This includes water crossings which can change quickly dependent on local rainfall and tidal conditions.

Access to Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campgrounds is dependent on Clarence Valley Council (CVC) and Forestry Corporation road infrastructure.
