The following areas will experience periodic closures between 26 May and 5 June 2025 for aerial spraying operations:
- Yuraygir coastal track
- Station Creek Beach and sections of Freshwater Beach
- Wooli Beach/Minnie Water Back Beach
- Sandon Beach, Grey Cliffs and to the north and south of Lake Arragan
Campgrounds and day use areas will remain open for visitors.
Bitou bush will be sprayed by helicopter with the herbicide eChem (metsulfuron-methyl 600). The areas treated have dense or large bitou bush infestations that are not accessible using other treatment methods. This program is part of a systematic weed control program throughout Yuraygir National Park.
The operations are weather dependent and take only one (1) day to complete in favourable weather conditions. Each site will be closed for a period of up to 4 hours.

The section of Yellow Cutting Road between Newfoundland Road and Bald Knob Tick Gate Road in Yuraygir National Park is closed until further notice due to a bridge defect.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program in Yuraygir National Park from Monday 30 December 2024 to Thursday 31 July 2025.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. It's designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Tuesday 1 April 2025 to Wednesday 1 October 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of feral cats using Felixer unit.
The program will take place in Bundjalung National Park.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.

Bundjalung National Park visitors may experience loud aircraft noise until further notice. RAAF training operations from the nearby Evans Head Air Weapons Range may be heard and seen from the Black Rocks campground and Jerusalem Creek paddle route and walking track.
Please note:
- The RAAF schedule of planned air operations is available on the Defence Aircraft Noise webpage.
- RAAF schedules for the Air Weapons Range in Bundjalung National Park can change at short notice due to weather or other operational considerations.
- Aircraft may not utilise the range every day of scheduled operations.
