NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an aerial baiting program in Wollemi National Park from Monday 5 September 2022 to Friday 16 September 2022.
The operation will use meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

The following parks are closed from Friday 29 July to Friday 26 August 2022 due to flood damage:

The park will re-open once assessment and remediation has occurred to ensure park user safety.

Closed areas: Rouse Hill Regional Park - planned playground closure
The Rouse Hill Regional Park playground, carpark and picnic area will be closed from Thursday 10 February 2022, due to demolition of the existing playground, construction of a new playground and carpark refurbishments. This is expected to be completed by end of August 2022, weather permitting. The oval and other picnic shelters will remain open.

Closed parks: Agnes Banks Nature Reserve closed due to severe weather conditions
Agnes Banks Nature Reserve is currently closed to all walking trails and access trails until further notice due to the current severe weather conditions which have caused localised flooding and dangerous trees. No pedestrian access permitted during this closure.
Remember it’s never safe to walk, ride or drive through flood waters so you will need to reschedule your visit and avoid travel to this park.

Prospect Nature Reserve is closed to the public indefinitely as it's part of a Special Water catchment area. There is no public access at any time.
If you wish to visit the Prospect Reservoir area, Andrew Campbell Reserve on William Lawson Drive has picnic tables, playground and toilet facilities.
