Newbys Creek Road is closed due to erosion and unstable road surface. The road is closed at both ends at the intersections with Coopernook Forest Way. This closure will be reviewed on Tuesday 18 February 2020.

Closed areas: Dooragan National Park - access road closure

The vehicle access road into Dooragan National Park will be closed from Thursday 26 March 2020 to Friday 27 March 2020, 7am to 5pm each day. The closure is to undertake road resurfacing works to prolong its life. The Port Macquarie Hastings Council will carry out these works and traffic control will be in place during the works program.

As a result, there will be no access to Summit picnic area or Rainforest Loop walking track during this period. Pedestrian access to Laurieton walking track will remain open.

Other planned events: Crowdy Bay National Park - pest management program underway

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a wild dog and fox baiting program using 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison, in Crowdy Bay National Park. The program will take place from Monday 2 March 2020 to Monday 11 May 2020. There will be signs at all baiting locations.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs close to the baiting areas should be restrained or muzzled, and must not enter the baiting locations. 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. In the event of accidental poisoning, please seek immediate veterinary assistance.

The Graham Allen part of Wingham Brush boardwalk, from Regenerator's walk to Flying Fox loop walk, will be closed while the boardwalk is fixed and upgraded. Once complete, Regenerators walk will then be upgraded and this section reopened.
