Fire bans: Park Fire Ban
NPWS has put in place a park fire ban for Coolah Tops National Park which remains in effect until the end of March. During park fire ban periods, all campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamine) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted as long as:
- They're under the direct control of an adult
- The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
- There's an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket)

The commissioner of the NSW Rural Fire Service may declare a Total Fire Ban for particular areas within NSW or statewide, this can change on a daily basis.

Coolah Tops National Park has experienced above-average rainfall over the past 12 months which has caused delays in finalising works in the park.
The following areas are also closed due to ongoing wet weather:
- Norfolk Falls Link track is closed between Bald Hill Falls and Bundar Management Trail
- All roads beyond the seasonal gate and forest road are closed because of dangerous trees
- Grass Trees track entrance via the Barracks campground is closed because of track damage
- Breeza lookout is closed because of dangerous trees
- Snow Gums walking track is closed because of severe storm damage to the track
- Bundella Fire Trail is closed because of dangerous trees
- Racecourse Fire Trail is closed because of dangerous trees
Norfolk Falls is open

Forest Road between Coolah Creek Road and the entrance of Coolah Tops National Park has been heavily affected by rain, the steeper slopes have been affected the most. However, the park is still accessible.
Forest Road is managed and maintained by the Warrumbungles Shire Council. Please refer any inquiries concerning this road directly to the council.

Roads in Timmallallie National Park are rough in some sections because of erosion caused by heavy rainfall. Road conditions may change quickly following rainfall. Never drive through floodwater.

Ongoing wet weather has impacted the roads in this reserve, leaving them washed out and/or under water for long periods of time.
Although some dry weather has occurred, access trails can still have rough surfaces and will require maintenance.
Vehicles that enter the park may still become bogged or need specialist recovery.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) carries out continuous 1080 baiting in Warrumbungle National Park for the control of foxes. Meat baits and canid pest ejectors (CPE's) containing 1080 sodium fluoroacetate poison are laid in the Park north of Timor Road/John Renshaw Parkway.
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected, and 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
