All fire trails within the following parks are closed until further notice due to wet conditions:

  • Goonoo National Park and State Conservation Area
  • Breelong National Park
  • Coolbaggie Nature Reserve

Closed areas: Greenbah campground and trails closed due to wet conditions

A number of locations and trails are closed due to ongoing wet conditions. These include:

  • Greenbah campground
  • Burrabadine walking track
  • Sawpit Gully trail south of Caloma trig
  • Spring Gully trail 

Greenbah campground will remain closed at until at least Friday 27 November 2020. The closure will be extended if required.

Wanda Wandong campground remains open. All camping in NSW national parks requires a booking.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 baiting

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using meat baits, meat bait products and canid pest ejectors containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will be ongoing between Thursday 1 October and Wednesday 31 March in the following parks and conservation areas:

  • Goonoo National Park
  • Goonoo State Conservation Area
  • Breelong National Park
  • Cobbora State Conservation Area
  • Coolbaggie Nature Reserve

All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

The program will be ongoing between Wednesday 12 August 2020 and Sunday 31 January 2021 in Goobang National Park.

All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
