Following recent severe weather across the Coffs Coast area most national parks will remain closed for safety. Parks will re-open as soon as staff have had the opportunity to assess and make areas safe.

Other planned events: Road and vegetation maintenance works on T-Ridge Road in Nymboida National Park.
There will be road and vegetation maintenance works occurring in Nymboida National Park from Sunday 02 June through to Tuesday 17 June 2025 along T-Ridge Road down to Nymboida River Campground. Access to campground will be open with some short delays.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting ongoing aerial and ground baiting programs. Aerial baiting and ground baiting is scheduled from 8th June 2025 to 8th December 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of Wild dogs and Foxes.
Aerial baiting and ground baiting will occur in:
Richmond River Area – Captains Creek NR, Richmond Range NP, Bundjalung NP
Clarence Area - Nymboi-Binderay National Park (NP), Nymboida NP, Mount Neville Nature Reserve (NR), Banyabba NR and State Conservation Area (SCA), Ramornie NP, Bundjalung NP
Coffs Coast Area - Bagul Waajaarr NR, Bindarri NP, Cascade NP, Chaelundi NP and SCA, Cunnawarra NP, Dorrigo NP, Dunggir NP, Gumbaynggirr SCA, Jobs Mountain NR, Mount Hyland NR and SCA, New England NP, Ngambaa NR, Nymboi-Binderay NP, Serpentine NR.
Hastings Macleay Area- The Cells SCA, Cottan-Bimbang NP, Carrai NP and SCA, New England NP, Pee Dee NR, The Castles NR, Werrikimbe NP, Willi Willi NP, Mount Seaview NR.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Road closure
Some areas of this park are closed until further notice due to the demolition of a bridge from a past flooding event.
The closed areas include the 4WD access to North Washpool, an area also known as Washpool rest area, entering from Baryulgil onto Collum Collum Road. The bridge is washed away at the junction of Washpool Creek and Collum Collum Road.
Please note:
- Washpool National Park’s 2WD entrance off Gwydir Highway onto Coachwood Drive and Washpool Forest Way is open.
- Bellbird campground, Coombadjha campground and the Granites lookout and picnic areas are accessible.

Due to ongoing issues with the solar power we must close Four Bull Hut temporarily from 8am Friday 16 May until 2pm Monday 30 June 2025 so we can fix the system. All other areas in the park remain open during this time.

Other planned events: Closure of Old Grafton Road
Clarence Valley Council are conducting extensive roadworks closing the Old Grafton Road (Old Glen Innes Road) between Newton Boyd and Buccarumbi. Access to Dalmorton campground is by the Old Grafton Road from the Glen Innes (Western) end only, or from Chaelundi Road from the south. To access Chaelundi Road you will need to either enter via Marengo Road at Hernani, or via Sheepstation Creek Road at Dundurrabin. These roads are only suitable for 4WD vehicles and off-road caravans.
Please be aware this closure may add significantly to travel time to and from the campground. At this stage works are scheduled until the end of June 2025.

Closed areas: Dalmorton Heritage Village closed
The historic heritage village of Dalmorton will be closed to visitors from 8am Monday 20 January 2025. This closure is to allow for works to be undertaken on operational infrastructure within the village. Road access through the village will not be impacted, and the Dalmorton campground to the south of the village remains open.
