Other planned events: Maintenance on Brummies Road, Condowie Road and North Wollumbin Road

Essential road maintenance is underway on Brummies Road, Condowie Road and North Wollumbin Road. Works will be happening from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and are expected to be completed by Friday 6 March 2026.

During these works access may be temporarily restricted. Bushwalkers and cyclists are advised to follow the directions of roadwork signs and contractor staff.

Heavy plan machinery will be operating in the area to resurface trails, reinstate drainage and replace damaged bridges.

Closed areas: Nightcap Range Road closed in both directions due to major landslip repairs

Nightcap Range Road is closed to traffic in both directions due to a major landslip associated with the 2022 flood event. The closure affects the section of Nightcap Range Road between Rummery Road intersection and Telephone Road trailer parking area.

 

Access to Minyon Falls and Rummery Park is via Minyon Falls Road only.

Safety alerts: Roadworks on Minyon Drive and Eastern Fire Break

Road maintenance will be undertaken on Minyon Drive and Eastern Fire Break from Thursday 14 January 2026 until Wednesday 4 February 2026.

Minyon Drive, all visitor areas and walking tracks will remain open. Park visitors may encounter heavy vehicles. Traffic control signs will be in place in work zones. Please drive safely and follow the directions of roadwork signs and staff.

Wollumbin (Mount Warning) summit track and the summit are closed until further notice. Parking at Korrumbyn Creek and Breakfast Creek is limited.

Korrumbyn Creek picnic area, Lyrebird walking track, and visitor facilities at Breakfast Creek remain open.

Closed areas: Border Loop Lookout closed for roadworks

The Border Loop Lookout and walking track will be closed to all visitors to allow for essential roadworks on the Lions Road.

The Lions Road will be closed to all visitors between Standfield's Bridge at Cougal and the Queensland border.
