Most national parks and reserves in the Coffs Coast area are closed until at least Friday 29 July 2022 due to widespread flooding and severe weather as risk assessments and repairs are undertaken.
Access to hard-roofed accommodation on-park remain open.
Access to campgrounds at Doon Goonge in Chaelundi National Park and Thungutti campgrounds in New England National Park is open.
As parks, roads and other facilities are assessed as safe, they will be reopened. This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

The Bellinger River catchment has experienced above average rainfall over the past few months and river levels can rise quickly with rain. River crossings on the Wilderness Walk become extremely dangerous when river levels rise and walkers may become stranded.
Do not do the walk during periods of high river levels or forecast rainfall.
Check the Bureau of Meteorology for river levels and rainfall before setting off.
