Cambridge Plateau drive is closed from Cambridge day use area north to Peacock Creek Road due to weather conditions. Peacock Creek campground remains open and can be accessed by 4WD only via Sextonville Road and Peacock Road. This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

Safety alerts: Cambridge Plateau Forest Drive - Roadside mulching operations
Roadside vegetation mulching will take place along Cambridge Plateau Forest Drive from Monday 9 September for 2 to 6 weeks, weather dependant.
The road will remain open with drivers urged to drive with caution and adhere to all signage and directions.
Wide vehicles (trucks & wide trailers) may have limited access during this time and should contact the Kyogle Office on 02 6632 0000 to confirm thru access and access to Mount Babyl.

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will commence a 1080 ground and aerial baiting program on the 19 August to 20 October 2024 on the following reserves:

The operations will use meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. Signs will be placed at the entry to all the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NPWS managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 8th July 2024 to 30th January 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The program will take place in Susan Island NR.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location.
