Safety alerts: Construction works

From Monday 6 February to Monday 24 April 2023, contractors will be completing work in the following areas:

  • Boonoo Boonoo Falls picnic area
  • Boonoo Boonoo Falls walking track
  • northern end of Boonoo Boonoo River walk

The Boonoo Boonoo Falls picnic area, including access to the Boonoo Boonoo Falls lookout and rockpools, will remain open during this time, unless otherwise advised. Please follow all directional signs in place, to safely detour around the construction site.

Closed areas: Bald Rock walk to the base of Bald Rock closed

Bald Rock Summit walking track will be closed to the base of Bald Rock from 8am Monday 9 January 2023. This closure is to support the installation of a new pedestrian bridge as part of upgrade works along the track to make the walk more accessible to all visitors. This closure includes the walking route directly up and down the face of Bald Rock.

Bungoona walk to the summit will remain open during this time, which is a more gradual climb around the side of Bald Rock to the summit.
