National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will commence a 1080 ground baiting program on the 9th October to 10th November 2023 in Crooked Creek CCAZ1 NP.
The operations will use a combination of manufactured and meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs. Signs will be placed at the entry to all the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Limestone Caves closed
The Limestone Caves in Kwiambal National Park are closed until further notice. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS office.

Closed areas: Ironbark camping area closed
The area in Kings Plains NP known locally as Ironbark camping area will be closed from Thursday 1 June 2023 until further notice, to allow for works to install facilities so that this area can be used as a formal campground.
The tent-only campground in the park, Kings Plains Creek campground, remains open during these works, and bookings remain essential.
