Safety alerts: Murramarang South Coast Walk Hazard warning
Walking tracks in Murramarang have been heavily affected by recent storm and sea conditions.
Beach access points and rock crossings have been heavily impacted and can be difficult to negotiate with some steep, slippery and unstable sections.
When accessing beaches and walking across rocky sections of the walk, please be mindful of conditions, loose rocks and dangerous crossings.

- Durras Mountain Loop trail
- Myrtle Beach walking track
- Burrawang walking track
- Point Upright lookout
- Richmond Beach
- Snake Bay

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 Fox baiting program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 21st July 2025 to Sunday 21st December 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of feral foxes.
The program will take place in:
Murramarang National Park
Meroo National Park
Conjola National Park
Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve
Seven Mile Beach National Park
Comerong Island Nature Reserve
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
