Safety alerts: Storm Damage Warning on Walking Tracks
Due to a severe storm that occurred on Thursday 23 January, visitors are advised to exercise caution when accessing walking tracks in Nightcap National Park, Whian Whian SCA and Border Ranges National Park. While some tracks have been closed for safety, others remain unassessed and may have damage or hazards we are not yet aware of.
Please take extra care when visiting and follow all signage and closures.

Other planned events: No vehicle access to Rummery Park
No vehicle access is permitted to Rummery Park from the 3rd of February until the 14th February due to construction of the Widjabul Wia-bal campground in the Rummery precinct.
Pedestrian access is possible but delays may be experienced. Please take note of directional signage and contractor directions.
Increased noise levels will be experienced during this period due to heavy machinery operations.

Closed areas: Nightcap Range Road closed in both directions due to major landslip repairs
Nightcap Range Road will be closed for major landslip repairs from 16 September 2024 until 31 March 2025. During this time, the road will be closed in both directions between Rummery Road and Nightcap Ridge. Please be advised this closure may be extended.
Access to Rummery Park Campground and Minyon Falls will be via Minyon Falls Road only.

Brindle Creek walking track and Helmholtzia Loop walking track are closed until further notice due to severe tree fall and storm damage.
Brindle Creek Road, picnic area and Antarctic Beech picnic area remain open.

Closed areas: Byrrill Creek walking track closed
Byrrill Creek walking track is closed due to landslips and erosion following severe rainfall.
An alternative walking track is now available. Visitors can access this 3km return track from behind the camp kitchen in Cutters Camp campground.
