Closed areas: Toonumbar National Park Closures

Murrays Scrub Road will be closed from 21 April 2026 for 4 weeks to allow for repair work to the road and drainage system following damage resulting from Cyclone Alfred. The road will be closed from the intersection of Murrays Scrub Rd and Murrays Scrub Carpark Rd.

Murrays Scrub Carpark Road will be closed for several days during this period for maintenance works – a separate alert will be posted when this occurs.

Iron Pot Creek Campground will not be accessible during this time and will be closed.

Visitors using Murray Scrub Road to access Murrays Scrub Carpark Rd should be aware large trucks and machinery may intermittently be travelling along Murray Scrub Road. All road users should drive to conditions and be aware of additional traffic and large vehicles.

Closed areas: Border Loop Lookout closed for roadworks

The Border Loop Lookout and walking track will be closed to all visitors to allow for essential roadworks on the Lions Road.

The Lions Road will be closed to all visitors between Standfield's Bridge at Cougal and the Queensland border.
